Biography

Yorleny received her Physician Assistant degree from City College Medical School of New York in 1989 and in the same year launched her 30-year career in primary health care. Yorleny began her practice in women’s health and went on to further her knowledge and skills by obtaining her Midwifery training and license from SUNY Downstate of New York in 1998.

After spending three months in Cuba training with a family practice doctor, Ms. Sherrier found her passion working in a community-based practice delivering patient-centered primary care. Ms. Sherrier then joined a high-risk OBGYN practice in New York City where she spent eight years providing office-based care. In addition, Yorleny served as the Practice’s Diabetic Counselor.

After living in a fast-paced city for most of her life, she and her family decided to move to Virginia to enjoy all that Richmond has to offer.
